Pinch. Pencil. Goblet. Are we still talking about curtains? Here is an easy guide to make sense of all the jargon with a few tips along the way to help you pick the heading style for your scheme.
Top Tip: This is a great heading for a more luxurious & tailored look.
Top Tip: The pinch pleats curtains have to sit underneath the pole or track to be able to undulate so make sure to pick the right hardware as it will be on show.
Top Tip: Requiring a lot of fabric, this heading style lends itself to a more traditional, full curtain. A bold heavyweight pole would finish this look.
Top Tip: Go for a deep pencil pleat for a more unique look.
Top Tip: While it’s an inexpensive option, it can be a trickier curtain to manoeuvre on a pole as it will scratch over time. Best avoided in our opinion.
Top Tip: This heading requires a specific pole or track to create the undulations.
Top Tip: Don’t use a striped fabric for this one as you might lose the repeat in the folds creating a rather strange effect when stacked back.
Top Tip: Unless you have a lot of stacking space either side of the window, these pleats are best avoided as they take up a lot of space when open.
Top Tip: Give us a call to arrange a measure + consultation so we can pull the look together for you.
